GRS Third-Hand Attachments make precise soldering easy. The GRS Soldering Station combines two Third-Hand Attachments fixed to a solder board to help reduce bench clutter and streamline the soldering process.
Third-Hand Attachments can twist, rotate and bend in all directions to hold your work exactly where you need it to be, without drooping or sagging. Each triple-jointed Third Hand extends up to 14" and is made of tool-grade steel with spring-loaded clamps containing replaceable jaw points. Joint tension may be easily adjusted using a screwdriver.
The soldering board is made of a durable, non-asbestos material and attaches to the GRS Fixed Mounting Plate or may be placed directly on your workbench. The soldering board can be used with direct heat of up to 600°F (316°C); for applications that exceed the maximum operating temperature, it should only be used indirectly via the attached GRS Third Hands. For high-temperature work such as brazing, consider purchasing our High-Temperature Soldering Platform and our High-Temperature Tungsten Jaw Points. GRS Third-Hands become hot after prolonged exposure to heat; always use gloves when re-opening the clamps after use so as to avoid burns.
