Important Testing Information

The Multi Tester III is designed to identify colorless diamonds and distinguish them from moissanite and other diamond simulants based on thermal and electrical properties. It is not intended as a standalone instrument for determining whether a diamond is natural or laboratory-grown. Additional diamond screening or laboratory testing may be required when determining diamond origin. Additionally, it is normal for lab diamonds to test as moissanite due to the traces of Boron used during the growing process which makes the stones electrically conductive.
