This new, attractive watch winder from Orbita Corporation is jacketed in a creamy, Swiss-made vegan suede embossed with a logo advertising its Swiss origins. However, the technology inside is all-American: The unique Synchron drive motor and Orbita's gearbox are both made in the USA.
The self-programming watch winder module is powered by five-year lithium batteries and the company's patended Rotorwind® technology. Rotorwind® mounts enter oscillation mode once every 10 minutes, rocking back and forth in a gentle swinging action that replenishes mainspring tension and maintains constant torque. These winders approximate the TPD of traditional programmable winders while more closely mimicking the intermittent natural movement of a watch-wearers wrist, resulting in less strain on a watches' delicate internal mechanisms.
